From Disney Tween To Sultry Siren: Miley Cyrus’ Beauty Evolution

Her laid-back Cali girl attitude was represented in her unkempt and wavy locks. Miley's minimal makeup was highlighted by a bad choice in pink lip gloss.

AGAIN with the lip gloss. Wipe it off.

With her hair pulled back and some messy pieces sticking out stylishly, Miley's red carpet look was pretty predictable.

A chic pompadour inspired hairdo and the most exciting part of her evolution -- her fake lashes! Look at those puppies.

Miley steps out for a night on the town with her beau with smokey eye makeup and neutral tones.

The lip gloss returns.

Horrendous blonde extensions were a step in the wrong direction.

Miley clearly discovered the beauty of bronzer as she got older.

Actress and singer Miley Cyrus arrives at the premiere of 'Justin Bieber: Never say Never in Los Angeles, California on February 8, 2011.

Miley ditches the hair extensions and false eyelashes.

Eyelashes are back and better than ever, baby. Her slicked-back hair is chic and sophisticated.

Best she has ever looked. A stunning makeup job, awesome Marilyn Monroe inspired hair and of course the divine dress. Everything complemented each other perfectly.

When Miley Cyrus burst onto the scene in 2006 as the star of the Disney Channel smash Hannah Montana, I was kind of confused by her. Sure, I enjoyed her brassy sense of humor and the bizarre twang in her accent as much as the next guy, but her hair and makeup choices were bordering on criminally insane.

Over the years, as Miley has come into her own (I’m not exactly sure what that phrase means but in this case I’d imagine her “own” refers to her love of yoga, crop tops and her hot boyfriend Liam Hemsworth) — and the same applies for her beauty choices. While Miley used to look like a poster girl for Smucker’s lip gloss, she is now classy, refined and not afraid to take a risk on the red carpet.

In honor of Miley’s transition from drab to fab (sorry, I hate that phrase but it was necessary), I’ve composed a little gallery of her beauty evolution above. Click through and let us know what you think about her improvements.
