The Olympics are right around the corner and we’re counting down the days until we can watch out favorite athletes compete for a gold medal. Many beauty companies have taken inspiration from this major event to create products or styles to channel the upcoming games. While you may not think that there could be that much to take a way from the Olympics as far as beauty inspiration, you should definitely think again. Take a hint from all of the athletes who are aspiring for one thing: the gold medal.
For those of us who aren’t super athletes competing in London, we will have to settle for another type of gold, silver and bronze — in the form of beauty products. Nail sets have been released by brands, such as butter LONDON and Priti NYC. Metallic lids have been all the rage on the spring runways and are a perfect way to celebrate the Olympics as well. I have loved watching women’s gymnastics since I was a little girl so I’m always excited to see that, but I was on the swim team in high school so I love watching the swimming competitions too!
I love to watch it all but my favorites are track and field and boxing.

Besides all the sports (synchronized diving FTW)… I can’t wait to see how the British culture and history is portrayed during the opening ceremonies!

I’m mostly looking forward to the gymnasts. I just love their talent, they’re truly hardworking. Especially the ones who perform on the balance beam. They must have a lot of blisters on their feet, not to mention the incredible balance and coordination one must have to do that.
Watching the diving competition is my favorite part of the Olympics! Seeing the diver launch off of the board and contort themselves into amazing shapes and then land in perfect form is truly awe-inspiring!
I think I always look forward to the opening ceremony of the olympics! And OH can’t wait to see what Karl Lagerfeld’s Olympic Inspired Collection to hit Selfridges! SO STOKED!
