Makeup | SAG Awards 2013: Best and Worst Beauty Looks of the Night
  • Although she may have been sick, Jennifer Lawrence was stunning in a navy gown and side-swept curls (pinned around the back of her head to hold to the side) with a matte red lip and cat eye to complete the look.

  • Michelle Dockery's subtle wave to her hair and soft red lip was complete with a fierce thick black liner, a striking beauty look that gave an elegance to the look considering there was an awful lot of side boob going on with her dress.

  • "Mad Men's" Kiernan Shipka was adorable in a pale pink Oscar de la Renta dress and a '60s styled bob. Her flushed cheeks and pale pink lips completed the look.

  • Jessica Chastain channeled Jessica Rabbit with her red gown and soft, side-swept waves styled by Renato Campora. Chastain wisely completed the look with a sheer pink lip and cat eye.

  • Jaimie Alexander wowed us with her dramatic smokey eye and side chignon (with mega volume). Plus, it was a nice break from all of the side-swept waves!

  • Kerry Washington topped off her white Rodarte gown with a low sleek ponytail and side bangs (a different route than the blunt bangs we've been seeing on her lately). She finished the look with a shimmery shadow and pink lip.

  • We all often bow down to Amanda Seyfried's hair (on a regular basis) and her hairstylist Jenny Cho worked miracles one again. These side-swept curls are perfection, and Seyfried's smokey eyes and subtle pink lips complimented the look so well.

  • Naomi Watts was stunning with side-swept waves and a matte berry lip. Her flawless skin helped to complete the look, with just a touch of shimmery shadow on her eyelids.

  • Like we said there were just a few misses on the red carpet, and Morena Baccarin of "Homeland" was one of them. The sleek, high-volume updo was just not a good look for the actress. Remembering that at these shows you need a style that looks good from all angles would benefit her for the rest of awards season!

  • While we love Ellie Kemper as an actress, we're not sure why she thought face-framing high volume for an updo was a good idea. Better luck next time.

  • Anne Hathaway has had a decent run at awards season so far, but this was simply a miss. She doesn't have the "edge" to style her grown out pixie in this way (giving the hair volume and height) we love her as her cute almost ethereal self instead.

  • January Jones once again tried a high-drama look, and we're just not loving it for her. The high-volume hairstyle coupled with a bold lip and smokey eyes is all just too much.

  • Claire Danes was seriously channeling her "My So-Called Life" days with this '90s lip. We wish she would have gone with a classic red to compliment her black Givenchy gown.

  • We're normally huge fans of Rose Byrne, but these extremely precise curls need to be combed out and let loose! The makeup is gorgeous, but the hair needs just a bit of tousling.

  • While many of the actresses had a soft wave (or too much volume) Nicole Kidman went the opposite route and had no volume at all. What happened Nicole? This is an awards show ...
