The Wella Professionals team gathered in Madrid this past weekend to debut their hair trend inspirations for 2013, created by the brand’s global creative directors Josh Wood and Eugene Souleiman, and we were there!

Four trends were paraded down the runway to the theme of “The Sound of Color” at the TrendVision event, all with a haute couture flair.

The four trends were as follows: Fusion (a bit of East meets West); Decibel (freedom with color, early ‘70s rocker); Echo (a reaction to the economic crisis, depression chic); and Allegra (a piece of art work).

These trends were later reinterpreted by competitors from all over the globe striving to win as best “young talent” and best “color” among their global peers.

Here are some images from the runway of reinterpreted trends, as well as one of the mood boards created by the competition teams, so you can see how the looks come together.
